Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this activity the participant should be able to:
1. Identify contemporary issues in pharmacy practice from information presented by pharmacy residents, preceptors and clinical faculty.
2. Compare and contrast published, peer reviewed research, research in progress, and special projects conducted to investigate problems and challenges in pharmacy practice and/or pharmaceutical sciences.
3. Describe current concepts related to the role of the pharmacist in health care, disease state management, new and existing drug therapies, or management of pharmacy practice.
4. Review the pathophysiology of cystic fibrosis (CF) and current treatment modalities.
5.Examine the literature supporting new drug approvals in CF.
6.Investigate the role of new drug therapies in optimizing CF regimens.
