Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this activity the participant should be able to:
1. Identify contemporary issues in pharmacy practice from information presented by pharmacy residents, preceptors and clinical faculty.
2. Compare and contrast published, peer reviewed research, research in progress, and special projects conducted to investigate problems and challenges in pharmacy practice and/or pharmaceutical sciences.
3. Describe current concepts related to the role of the pharmacist in health care, disease state management, new and existing drug therapies, or management of pharmacy practice.
4. Contrast commercially available cannabinoid products and identify their proposed place in therapy
5. Discuss the role of cannabis-based medicine in the management of chronic pain

PGY1 Pharmacy Resident

Jessica Ringler is a PGY1 Pharmacy Resident at Augusta University Medical Center. She completed pharmacy school at the University of Georgia College of Pharmacy in Athens, GA. Her current interests include critical care and neurology. She plans to complete a PGY2 in critical care next year.
