Description:
The focus of the 2008 Howard C. Ansel Symposium is Anticoagulation Management.

It is estimated that over 1 million patients with atrial fibrillation receive chronic anticoagulation therapy with warfarin. Over the next ten to twenty years, this number is expected to more than double. In addition, anticoagulation management is one of The Joint Commission’s National Patient Safety Goals for 2008. Are you and your institutions ready for this demand in managing patients on anticoagulation therapy? This year the topic for the Ansel Symposium is Anticoagulation Management. Presentations will include a discussion of the anticoagulation-related National Patient Safety Goals, practical aspects of anticoagulation management, establishing and maintaining an anticoagulation service and the future of anticoagulation. The symposium will provide timely information on optimizing care for patients receiving anticoagulation therapy.

The morning session will be free with your pre-registration by Septmeber 15th. After that date, the cost for the morning session will be $50.00.
