Description:
Patient safety and medication errors are at the forefront of the health care industry and the general public. This is because medication errors are one of the leading causes of death and injury in the United States. A recent report by the Institute of Medicine estimates that as many as 44,000 to 98,000 people die each year as a result of medication errors. At this seminar, you will get an updated overview of patient safety techniques utilized in different healthcare settings as well as an interactive Q & A with a member of the Georgia State Board of Pharmacy.
