Description
The goal of this home study independent-learning course is to provide the student, pharmacist, and advanced practice nurse with a basic understanding of the importance of laboratory and related physical findings for appropriate monitoring of the intended or desired drug actions as well as adverse effects. It is assumed that the reader has knowledge of basic anatomy, pathophysiology and pharmacotherapy. The course is composed of eleven modules of instruction with 127 self assessment questions plus ten case studies with self assessment questions and feedback to enhance the learners understanding.
The completed course provides 15 hours (1.5 CEU) continuing pharmacy education. To receive credit, the reader must complete a 50-question final exam and score 70% or higher.
