At the conclusion of this presentation, the participant should be able to:
• Explain the origins of MTM and the approved billing codes.
• Distinguish between MTM and collaborative practice agreements.
• Detail MTM Best Practices (locally and nationally).
• Describe building a culture that integrates MTM services in traditional pharmacies and utilizes staff to facilitate these services.
• Challenge pharmacists to explore opportunities within their practice and community for the delivery of MTM services.
• Outline the curriculum for the MTM certificate program to be offered through the UGA College of Pharmacy in Spring 2009.
